Ingredients
  

  • 2.2 small cabbage heads Choose firm heads with green outer leaves
  • 3.3 tablespoon olive oil Adds richness and helps crisp the cabbage

  • 1.1 tablespoon garlic powder Adds savory depth

Method
 

  1. Cut off the stems from the cabbage heads and slice each in half, then quarter them. You'll end up with four thick cabbage steaks per head, each about ¾ to 1 inch thick.
  2. Arrange the cabbage steaks on a lined baking sheet, ensuring space between each for even cooking.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the cabbage, making sure each steak is well-coated. Sprinkle the salt, garlic powder, and paprika generously on top. mix
  4. Flip the cabbage steaks and repeat the oiling and seasoning process. Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to each steak if desired.
  5. Bake the cabbage steaks at 400°F in a preheated oven for around 25 minutes, until the edges are crispy and the center is tender.
