Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Lean ground beef
  • 1 Yellow onion - Diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic - Minced
  • 8 oz Wide egg noodles - Uncooked
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 2 cups Marinara sauce - Add ¼ cup extra for saucier
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon Paprika - Smoked or sweet
  • to taste Salt & pepper
  • 4 oz Cream cheese - Cubed, room temp
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella - Divided
  • ¼ cup Grated parmesan - For garnish
  • ½ cup Ricotta - Optional, for extra creaminess

Equipment

  • Large skillet (12") (With lid)
  • Wooden spoon (Or heat-resistant spatula)
  • Knife (For chopping)
  • Cutting board
  • Cheese grater (Fresh cheese melts better)
  • Measuring cups/spoons

Method
 

  1. Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef; break apart and cook until no longer pink. Drain excess fat and return beef to pan.
  2. Add diced onions; cook 3 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic; cook 30 seconds. Stir in Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toast spices 1 minute.
  3. Stir in beef broth and marinara sauce; bring to a simmer. Add uncooked egg noodles; stir to coat. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir in cream cheese until melted. Add half the mozzarella and mix well. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top. Cover for 2–3 minutes until melted.
  5. Garnish with grated parmesan and fresh herbs if using. Let sit 5 minutes before serving.
