Ingredients
  

For the Cake Batter:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup milk - Any type works
  • 2 tablespoon butter - Melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Pudding Magic:
  • ¾ cup brown sugar - Packed
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 ¾ cups hot water - Nearly boiling
Optional Toppings:
  • Vanilla ice cream - For serving
  • Whipped cream
  • Chocolate chips - For sprinkling

Equipment

  • 1 8x8 or 9x9 baking dish (Greased)
  • 1 Mixing bowl (Large)
  • 1 Measuring cups

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla. Stir until just combined. Spread into greased baking dish.

  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35–40 minutes until the top is set and edges pull slightly.
