  • 2 ¼ cups All-purpose flour - Sifted
  • 1 cup Butter - Softened
  • ½ cup Brown sugar - Packed
  • ½ cup White sugar - Granulated
  • 2 Eggs - Room temperature
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
The Cheesecake Swirl
  • 6 oz Cream cheese - Softened
  • cup Powdered sugar - Sifted
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice - Fresh
The Star Ingredient
  • 1 cup Blueberries - Fresh or frozen (do not thaw)

Method
 

  1. Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and lemon juice. Mix until creamy and set aside.

  2. Cream butter with both sugars until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, then mix in flour, baking powder, and salt just until combined.
  3. Gently fold in the blueberries. Don’t overmix to avoid bursting all the berries.
